How do I know if I'm a good candidate for SunEdison solar energy services?
If you are a corporation with multiple sites, a utility looking to implement a renewable program for your ratepayers, or a government institution located in North America, you may be a good candidate. If you are experiencing high or volatile energy costs, high peak usage, or want to reduce your dependence on fossil fuels, you are probably a great candidate. Are you faced with new clean air mandates, emissions requirements or other regulatory requirements? You're a good candidate to consider solar energy services.

How do I know if my facilities are appropriate for a SunEdison installation?
Most solar deployments fall into two categories, requiring either a large, flat structure such as a rooftop or available ground space.

For roof-mounted systems, generally you should have a minimum of 50,000 square feet and the roof should be less than 7 years old.

For ground-mounted systems, the amount of land needed varies, but typically a minimum of 5-10 acres is needed.

Where are SunEdison solar energy services available?
SunEdison provides solar energy services for the US, Canada, and Spain. We expand our service territory as the regulatory and financial environments permit.

Where does SunEdison have solar installations in the US?
SunEdison manages more megawatts of electricity, at more sites, with the largest fleet of solar service personnel than any other solar energy services provider in North America. View a map of our solar power plants.

What types of solar panel configurations does SunEdison offer?
SunEdison offers roof-mounted systems, parking lot systems, fixed or tracking ground mount systems.

How do I know if my location receives enough solar power?
We conduct a complete shade analysis of your location and facility to determine if our solar energy services would be beneficial to you.

How do SunEdison's solar services differ from other solar offers?
We offer solar energy services, not equipment purchase and installation. Because we finance, develop, install, own, operate and maintain the solar power plants as a single provider for multiple sites, you benefit from predictable energy prices in aggregate without paying high initial capital outlays.

How much does it cost to implement a SunEdison solar solution?
Nothing. Because there is no capital outlay, your costs to initiate a solar project are non-existent. Our business model offers solar energy services, and you pay only for the electricity we generate. Since we only make money on the kilowatt-hours used, we have a strong incentive to install highly efficient and reliable system. And you receive fixed energy rates for the entirety of the agreement.

How do I know what technology is best for my facility?
Our engineers take care of that for you. We research the best technologies and engineer each and every system to optimize solar energy production.

What are the financial considerations with a SunEdison solution?
For commercial and government customers, consider the annualized, average price per kilowatt hour you're paying now for peak and non-peak usage.

For utilities under pressure from upcoming RPS requirements or who want to offer renewable choices for their ratebase, determine if solar is a required resource or is desired by your customers.

How does SunEdison make money?
Our model is all about simplifying solar. We aggregate sites for financial investors who are committed to the solar energy industry. Their investments enable us to acquire significant volumes of solar assets that provide a predictable rate of return.

What types of partners does SunEdison work with?
We work with partners in the financial, technology and equipment supplier communities. Across this spectrum of industry participants, we help drive industry standards to make solar a meaningful resource for energy supply.
